Transport

At Engage Academy, we work closely with the parents and child, to ensure the most appropriate arrangements are put in place to ensure good attendance at school. Pupils could be transported/escorted to and from school by parents, or alternatively all pupils can apply to the local authority for transport support as they are entitled to this due to their EHCP. Travel arrangements will be reviewed regularly to ensure we are supporting our pupils correctly.

Safeguarding and Transport

When pupils are picked up and dropped off at home, it is expected that parents will escort their child to and from the vehicle.

Pupils in Key Stage one will need to be escorted by an adult, parent or travel assistant if available from the local authority.

Pupils must sit in the back of the vehicle and comply with travel safety arrangements; car seat or booster seat if required, seat belts on at all time
